Yamhill SWCD conducts their regular Board meetings the 2nd Wednesday of each month, beginning at 7:30 AM. Board meetings are open to the public. Citizen attendance and input is encouraged. The Board meetings are held at the Miller Woods conference room, 15580 Orchard View Rd NW, McMinnville, Oregon.
The meetings are the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30am. Please refer to the News-Register Government Calendar section for more information or call the District (503-472-1474 x102).
NOTICE FOR NOMINATION FOR DISTRICT DIRECTOR
OF THE YAMHILL SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT
Notice is hereby served that nominations by petition may be made for positions of director of the Yamhill Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD). The following positions will expire this year, and will be filled by election on a nonpartisan ballot at the November 2, 2010, General Election.
Positions: Zone 1, 4 years; At Large 1 & 2, 4 years

Nominating petitions must be signed by at least 10 registered voters residing within the Yamhill SWCD and be submitted to the County Clerk of Yamhill County for verification of signatures prior to filing. The “Petition for Nomination Signature Sheet” and “Declaration of Candidacy” forms must be filed with the Oregon Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Division by 5:00 p.m. on August 24, 2010. Forms must be mailed or hand-delivered to the Oregon Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Division, 635 Capitol Street NE, Salem, Oregon 97301-2532. Petitions received after the deadline will not be accepted. Faxed or electronic versions of the petitions cannot legally be accepted.
