Our 48th Annual Outdoor Woodland Tour at the Dave Cruickshank Woodland will be on Wednesday and Thursday, May 13th & 14th, 2008. The SWCD Staff and District Board would like to invite your school’s 5th grade students to participate! The students rotate through six different stations, spending around 15-20 minutes at each. The six stations include: Forest Harvest and Products; Plants and Wildlife; Soils & Watersheds; Outdoor Behavior and Safety; Fire Prevention and Safety; and Forest Management. This is a fun event set in a beautiful forest environment.

The Woodland Tour is also a great opportunity to volunteer. Our fantastic volunteers lead groups of students around the tour. It is a fun way to get out and help.

If you have any questions please feel free to give us a call at (503) 472-1474 ext. 102, or email josiereid@yamhillswcd.org.
