Tim oversees the districts natural resources program including land preservation, protection, habitat restoration, and education and outreach activities. Tim works under direction of the SWCD elected, seven member board of directors to develop long-term and annual work plans then works with staff and volunteers to implement these plans with private landowners. Julie is the new Office Administrator for the district. Her position is responsible for office management, including fulfilling bookkeeping requirements, board and committee reports, written communications and publications, and supports the Director's position with financial reporting, grant management, and event and activity production. Before coming to work at the Yamhill SWCD Julie worked with non-profit organizations in various capacities which included: volunteer coordinator; bookkeeping; office management; data base management; event planning and management; publication design and production; and most recently worked the past five years with Chehalem Youth & Family Services in Newberg. The Resource Conservationist develops private landowner interest in the USDA programs; provides technical assistance to landowners that are working to implement conservation practices; meets with interested landowners on their property to evaluate USDA program eligibility and to determine what conservation practices need to be implemented; develops conservation plans following the approved USDA NRCS planning process as outlined in the NRCS Field Office Technical Guide (FOTG); completes monthly reports and grant reports for Yamhill SWCD; and other conservation duties as needed. |

Amie Loop-Frison HCP Project Manager 503-472-1474 ext.113 |
Amie serves as the project lead for development of a Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) which will provide protection for prairie species which are listed under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The HCP will focus on private lands within Yamhill County and will aid landowners in managing their lands for economic growth and development while still being in compliance with ESA regulations. Previous to this position, Amie served as the Senior Riparian Specialist for the District since 2004. Her other work has included survey and inventory work for ESA listed species for Weyerhaeuser, Willamette Industries and the Bureau of Land Management throughout the state of Oregon. She received her BS in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University.

Marie Vicksta Conservation Planner 503-472-1474 ext. 108 |
Marie works to develop conservation plans with interested landowners following the approved USDA NRCS planning process. She also meets interested landowners to provide technical assistance in the implementation of conservation practices and evaluates potential eligibility for USDA programs. She is also the primary contact for complaints related to natural resource concerns and works on noxious weed control and removal. Before coming to work with Yamhill SWCD, Marie worked with the Wisconsin Bureau of Endangered Resources in the Wolf Depredation Payment Program working with stakeholders and outreach. She has also worked on research projects in Costa Rica and Ecuador. She graduated with her Master of Science in Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development from the University of Wisconsin in 2009. Email: marie.vicksta@or.nacdnet.net |

Josh Togstad Riparian Planner 503-472-1474 ext 104

Josh Togstad is the new Riparian Planner for the District. He was hired to work with landowners to develop and establish riparian buffers and projects throughout the county following the approved USDA NRCS planning process. He is now the primary contact for all existing and future enrolled Conservation Reserve and Enhancement Program (CREP) landowners. Josh is excited about meeting and working with Yamhill County landowners. Before coming to work for Yamhill SWCD, Josh worked for Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife where he conducted stream habitat surveys and oversaw salmonid fin marking operations across the state. He also has knowledge of land surveying practices through work for a local land surveyor. Josh graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Fish and Wildlife Science from Oregon State University in 2007. Irma came to us as an Intern and later became a part time employee. Irma fills the gaps that keep the office running efficiently. She assists with volunteer coordination and event supplies. She takes minutes at the board meetings. Email: irma@yamhillswcd.org |
